Classroom Battleground

Final for Editorial Illustration. This was to make a cover for the New Yorker about any article we wanted. I chose an article that talked about how today's youth is obsessed with reading post apocalyptic novels (like the hunger games) because they're preparing for the dark future ahead of them. I think this is kind of absurd, kids read whatever is popular and I think adults are over analyzing that way too much. So I wanted to make a scene that just showed an ordinary classroom with nothing unusual except one kid in the back who is preparing for the end of the world.
